Overview
TaoMarketCap was redesigned to align with a new audience, shifting from developer-focused analysis tool, to a platform built for investors and traders in the Bittensor ecosystem.

This followed the introduction of Dynamic TAO and the emergence of subnet-specific tokens, covering over 30 unique pages, new data visualisation tools, and an expanded feature set. A full design system was created to support this scale, establishing a product experience that also defined the brand.
A product-led brand discovery
The platform's identity was defined through the product itself. Visual clarity, structural consistency and restrained UI design became the language of the brand, all embedded within the experience.

This product-led approach allowed the identity to emerge naturally from function and user behaviour, resulting in a minimal and clear design system that evolves with the networt and an identity grounded in function.
Decentralized insights
The redesign was shaped around a new core audience: crypto investors, active traders, and members of the Bittensor and AI communities, with goals ranging from trading and transferring tokens, to analysing subnet parameters and tracking the price of subnet-specific assets.


As a decentralized network, Bittensor’s community played a key role in shaping the product. Feedback came directly from users across the ecosystem, offering insights into real behaviours and needs as the technology evolved.
the product
With a large number of pages and dense data, it was important that users could find what they needed without friction. Navigation was restructured to make movement across the platform faster and more intuitive. Data views were also redesigned to prioritise clarity, surfacing key information in a way that feels immediate.

A dual-mode layout was introduced to support different levels of experience. Basic View provides a simple, streamlined experience, while Advanced View gives users access to detailed subnet analysis. Several new features were added to build trust and community engagement, including an updates feed, and a social space where subnets, validators and wallet owners can share posts.

These additions helped support an increasingly investor-led audience, without losing the transparency and openness of the network.
Outcome
The redesign positioned TaoMarketCap as a more accessible and investor-ready product, while staying grounded in the transparency and openness of the Bittensor network. The product-led approach to design created a visual identity that feels natural to the platform, and scalable as the ecosystem evolves.
